Any one know there jeep got the extra 10kw's and 10 NM of torque in a WJ grand cherokee compared to my 01 cherokee ?????

Just curious !!

A number of areas, including revised cylinder head, revised manifolds and a high efficiency water pump worth 2hp by itself all contributed to the boost.

Thanks Classicboy,

All I could find was the Inlet manifold which looks the same in any pics.

does the water pump fit our XJ's propably due for one.

Probably but it would depend on the hose outlet position.

the "horse Shoe " manifold works well on earlier XJ,s, however its not a bolt on, you need to do some modifying around the power steering pump mounting area.

but seriously worth the effort, also if your wanting to squeeze some easy horse power from the 4L you can delete the mechanical fan and add e,fans

that makes a huge difference in drivability, plus you loose the noise of the fan roar.

if your keen pick a cool day pull the fan and go for a drive (just DONT STOP )

and experience the difference.
