Time to get off my lazy ass and get some things done. Going to start with some repairs and change the springs from slipper springs to leaf springs from my jeep. So in 4hrs, l stripe the camper down and turn it over.

Try a trailer place mate. I just rebuilt a work trailer and added brakes, rebuilt the frame etc. Got some gear off Ebay and the rest came from a trailer manufacturer.

Well started by cutting off draw bar and all spring mounts.

Then made the front spring mount out of 90x90x3mm, 225mm long and the rear spring mount out of 75x75x3mm, 145mm long.

Then modify the draw bar to fit and add extra bar with the left over 75x75x3mm RHS.

Sat it all together to see how it looks. I thought l might have to remove the legs, but they just miss. So just need to weld all together.

Also need to thank go jeep for the info. Cheers

lookin good.

how come you went spring-under instead of over?

is it height considerations or is there a design advantage?

It still might be over, it will depend on overall height. The tent came only be 1.1m's from the ground.
