Ahhhhh, hmmmmm. Yes.
I have seen people who thought they were home mechanics who (i) topped up the radiator with oil after draining the old engine oil. Motor ran for about 5kms. Then stopped. terminally. (ii) Another who thought the engine was running 'a bit hot', so called at a servo and filled it with water. Via the cap on top of the rocker cover. Took quite a bit to fill apparently, and yes, it hydraulic locked after about 100m. Again, terminally.

Funniest thing I've seen was when I was an AJ.

One of the frontbums (AJ chick) was complaing that the Landrover would only take about two litres of diesel and then overflow.

Sounded strange, so we asked her to show us.

Dumb blonde was pumping the diesel into the top of the rocker cover oil fill cap!...

Quick oil change.....

I must admit that I have been too lazy to crawl under the Jeep yet and was just looking for the easy way out. Have changed oil before on a car so don't worry! Dealers are just so damn expensive to let them do it. Do you guys think it is necessary to change the oil at 10 000km if it only needs servicing at 20 000km? Just trying to be good to my baby!
