just curious how much it is for a decent long arm kit, i dont need the spring, or the shocks, all i want is the brackets for the arms and arms, brake lines etc ... is 6" the max a JK can go ??

Quite a few suspension companies using the Long ARM Kit just to sell another item.
Unlike TJ the JK does not really require a long arm kit. The stock or after market jk arms are long enough and Lon arms do not add any extra benefit.
People are still getting confused when they try to match TJ with JK.
On TJ the long arm kit was very successful bec of the short arms but JKs are totally different.
Despite what I said if you do make a decission going long arm there will be a lot of cutting and welding brackets reqd.

He would know because he would've bought a long arm kit already.
The LA give a better on road ride on big lifts and less axle steer when flexing.
I havent looked at any LA kits to do the maths on there supension, but I would say they would be along way a head of the short arms in terms of Anti squat and roll center etc

No difference with roll center - anti-squat/pitch is really controlled by the relative arm length so the difference is minimal.
The stock arms are a pretty decent length compared with earlier models, so the only real differences is axle steer when flexing.....but I suspect that this particular JK is a bit of a tarmac queen, so it's unlikely to benefit there either.
I researched it through all the forums for months and came up with a first choice of Terra Flex and second a RE for LA kits. Then just gave the idea away when weighing up the cost v's gain.
Maybe you could look at getting a real bar and good winch, or then tyres and many many other mods to improve your Jeep before a LA kit.
