Finally got my letter and called the dealer, mines now booked for September 27, didn't bother to ask if they will inspect or replace. I'm hoping since it's taking six weeks to even see me I'll get replacements.

Be careful.
I made a booking and took mine to the local dealer.
I asked if I could get the old arms back as they had near new poly bushes. the answer, no you cant its a warranty recall.
Then the shit hit the fan.
Them , this vehicle has been modified we will have to do a safety inspection before we can let you drive it.
Me, of course its modified its 12yo. do you think that the original lasts that long without being touched.
I bolted never to return. I also hear from another owner that they tried that with them too.

Got a call from the dealer this morning saying not to worry about coming in for the inspection this arvo as they can order the parts and replace the arms, no inspection needed. 7-10 days to get the parts in from the east coast tho.
Sounds like there is a bit of over what is supposed to be happening

I rang a Newcastle dealer today about my recall letter, which says the LCAs will be replaced. I specifically asked if this was just an inspection or a replacement, they said they will replace. Don't know what to believe. I never take the KJ near a dealer, too many mods and chances for them to screw up my GDE software. I have a set of LCAs in my spares but am too old and feeble to swap them myself after my heart problem. Can anyone confirm it's a replacement, regardless of the letter. I know why it's happening, because KJs in the US and Canada, had weld breaks on the sway bar mount on the LCAs due to salt corrosion from winter roads rusting out the welds.

arms
Let us know how you get on Methamon.
If they fit new arms I might book mine in there,
Having done the front bushes and ball joints new rear arms will be a bonus especially if they are free.
