Default Diff lock rear

I have a ARB air locker on my Dana 30 front axle (just got it back online thanks to Straubz), and consider to add an Aussie locker or equivalent on my rear axle (afaik Dana 44).

Does anyone have a similar layout and can share his/her experience if possible? I just wonder if it makes sense and how the performance would be.

Thank for any input.
Joerg

If you haven't swapped it, then it's a Dana 44a. There's an ARB and some lunchbox lockers only for them. And the chinese TRE lockers if you go that route, they are ARB clones.

Thanks Adrian. You are right it's a Dana 44a. Unfortunately the availability of lockers of this diff is fairly limited. Have to order it from US most likely. Ebay does not come up with much. And I definitely don't wont to go for an Air locker, bit too expensive.

Be aware that you have a vari lock in the rear which means you will need a new centre and axles to fit a locker, from what i could see it was working quite well the other weekend.

Thanks Straubz. Well this is then already the answer. This would be too much for the moment. maybe later then.
Will see next time how this goes now that I have the Airlocker back.

Has anyone ever thought of putting in a Falcon RTV ute locking diff in the back of one of these?
They'd be fairly common, and can be regeared to 3.73 to fit the Jeep. I reckon it'd be one of the easiest ways to get a locker in the back of one of these, they just need vacuum to actuate as well.
