Default TPMS - can it support a sixth wheel ???

Hi, after some tyre dramas on Cape York, can anyone tell me if the TPMS in a 2007 WH GC Laredo can support and read 6 tyres, that is, a second spare??
Looking forward to some "learned" advice.

I have progressed and purchased the new rim and sensor, guess what - the Tyre Pressure Sensor does not come with a nut in the package to hold it in the wheel - you'd think someone (at the dealership) would have told me!!

Further to the above posts, YES it does work, however, it only reads the wheels on the car, not the two spares which I carry on the roof.

In off-road conditions this system is ideal as you know when you've got a flat tyre on your vehicle, but you need to carry a compressor in case one of the spares is lower in pressure and of course in sand you vary the pressure anyway to suit.

I have always found "The Bum On Seat" usually tells me when a tyre is going down, be it FWD or Semi Trailer. Though it does fail with the spares on the rack.

Now that you mention it, yes you are correct, but if I think about it too much I wouldn't let her drive. I have got told late at night, " oh there was a red light on the dash today !"........aaarrrggghhh.

So maybe it's not such a bad idea.
Doesn't the manual mention it ? or have you checked out http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_tpms.htm a most informative place, don't know if it helps as I didn't read it.

Thanks very much for the info Drover, I will follow through the info and see if I can get the system reprogrammed to a sane upper and lower PSI rating.
