The Wheelie King (aka Crawler King) chassis was pretty quickly recognised as a capable crawler platform therefore there's heaps of info on this one as well as plenty of mods to be had. Check RC Crawlers WK forums for more info.

I've had a few HPIs and they are good gear; not quite race quality but they have another brand (Hot Bodies) which they have won plenty of big races with. HPI parts are also readily available in Aus - if you're not into mail ordering from HK/US to save some pennys.

I've done the liquid electrical tape coverage on both my Transceiver (radio receiver like thing in the truck) and Brushless speed controller; have had the truck pretty wet with no issues although should be submerging it for extended periods (in Merri Creek) soon.. hope to have pics & footage.

Although I am a self confessed R/C geek/addict I'm still not sure why I should have used liquid electrical tape instead of silicone sealant, hmmm.

I'd recommend Amain or Tower hobbies in the US, let me know when you're about to do the deed and I'll give you the current discount codes.

thanx dude wont be for a while (with that link i gave u, does that rig have everything needed to go other than the battery and charger)

it confused me with the optional extras down the bottom it had like shocks and springs and i was confused as to weather the rig came with shocks or if the optional shocks were just upgrades

Yup, all you need is a battery pack for the car, AA batteries for the transmitter and a charger for the cars pack. You can fit heaps of different pack types in these as they run at such low speeds the packs last for ages.

Amain is out of stock at the moment, Tower does have them and I noticed RC Mart in Hong Kong (another great shop) has them listed at a good price but out of stock.

Keep in mind the wheel base on this kit is too short for the HPI TJ body I'm using. These are the bumpers / lighting kit I'm using however..
