Well the 4X4 R/C scene is warming up.
There's a few of us trying to get an RC RockCrawl Comp going....Yeah it's largely driven by the owner of the MudCow - but there's actually a range of pretty hardcore r/c's out there....

My poor old cloddy is now in peices as I strip out the old chassis - I've started cutting up the Ally sections that will become the new chassis....

Also snapped an axle in the Rock Garden I've made in my backyard (much to my wife's delight ;) )....

BTW Lexx I told you that I've now got an ESC didn't I? Well I've also now got on order a very rare 8tooth pinion which will greatly step the speed down from the stock 13T pinion.....This is great fun - but man a few hours extra in the day would be nice :D

8T!!!!!!!!!! Sheezzz Wooders if I new about the MUD COW etc last year I might have tried to get a better deal out of ya!!!! I've got my eyes on an E-MAXX at the moment, and what type of mods I can do to that. Good to hear you got yourself an ESC, world of difference mate.

Deane, nice vechile!!!! I've got a pair of Serpent VETEQ 4wd 1/8th cars and i just don't use them enough compaired to the off road r/c's. All my buggies are Kyosho (MP6 and 2 Inferno's) so good choice in manufacturer Deane, are you looking at racing or just a car park hoon? And welcome to the world of "Flame Out" with nitro. So at the next Kyosho Cup can we look forward to an AUSJEEP 1/8th racing team? :D

The RC jeep willy's electric is a real fun.
If you get a bunch of them to race its a real hoot. And they dont squeel like the petrol ones so back yard events arnt a pain to all.

Get a jeep willy's rc car!
and they dont cost the world..even if they are modified

Lexx,

Haven't attached the ESC yet - but I went with a Novak SuperRooster....Jezz I've now spent 7xtimes the original purchase cost in mods
BTW the plan with the old manual Speed controller servo is to relocate it directly on the rear axle for steering and relocate the servo used for both front & back, to directly on the front - should give me MUCH more turning power.
LOL I think the only thing left from the original cloddy is the axles, wheels & tyres
