Hot rumours this week is that the Hemi JK is happening again.
It seemed to go on the back-burner there for a while.
The only thing that might slow it's release down would be if the current JK line-up continues to sell like cold beer at the cricket.

Here is some info one of my friends found out after speaking to a dealer.

HEY

more on the jeep

2 door Rubicon 37,990 and $41000 on the road. none of these will be on
display, only the standard.

4 door unlimited 38,000 and $41000 on the road.

I was to affraid to ask how much the unlimited rubicon but here it is

$49,000-$51,000 on the road. Yikes I will forget about that one.

I should start buying some lotto tickets =-)

@ 41k drive away its a fair hike over the TJ but I guess when you look at what the new Rubicon comes with its a far more capable 4wd. I sit back and ponder my order for a JK Rubicon 2 door.......take it and be special because no one else will be dumb enough to pay that sort of money or buy a TJ and drop 5k modifying it. When I bought my first TJ back in 2000 I got a red hardtop sport and the list price on that was 40k so I guess all is fair in love and cars. Its a brand new product and those who want one bad enough will shell out the cash. Dont know about the 4door rubicon though....dam thats exeyyyy. So any other orders down yet? Ill be sure to confirm the exact price once it comes to hand as having my order down im sure my dealer will call me straight away to confirm my order.

With the siz of the 4 door JK it will be competing with those who have Patrols and Cruisers and want something with live axles etc but a bit smaller. With the added bonus of factory lockers and removavble hardtop etc I think it'll sell well to those who may not have considered a Jeep before. The 2 door might be tougher to sell in Rubicon spec as it wont have that touring capability that the roomier 4 door has but the price is still up there.

Cheers
Steve

Default IMHO $41k is reasonable...

I did my sums a while back when considering purchasing a TJ. Once you put bigger tyres, suspension (springs, shocks, SYE to compensate), lockers, stronger axles and any other stuff you get with the Rubicon standard (or that you'd need to get it working correctly) you'd be pushing at least $38k if you did a *good* job.

So to get it for $41k with a factory warranty, strikes me as a good deal.
