Mine has done 280,000 and has not long ago had alternator (due to being full of mud), turbo. Also at about 150,000 i done the glow plug and control module. otherwise all original, but in saying that it has just died on me on my way home something turbo related.

Mine currently has 265k kms. Glow plug module and throttle body have been replaced. I have just fitted a oil catch can (bit late), and Yeti tune (which incl EGR, swirl, TVA, and DPF deletes, and truck load more torque). Runs great. Fuel economy with bigger tyres and roof rack etc is around 11/100km on my typical daily drive (mixed). Extremely happy with my Jeep. 6th Jeep so far and find it is the best compromise between all Jeeps in terms of size, interior space and comfort, on road characteristics, and off road performance.

My brother has a XH CRD as well. His has 330k km on it now. He bought it with 200k km about 6 years ago. Has had GDE eco tune on it for 5 years. His Jeeps runs great as well. Has 3" lift and 32" tyres. Is is daily driver and tow rig. Handles everything with ease. Has had the oil cooler seals replaced at 290k km, everything else original. No oil catch can either, but his engine has next to zero blow by at all. He gets around 10.3L/100km on his daily commute (70% Hwy).

Hi
Be generous with the oil changes and the engine will do starship type mileage. Loads of euro taxis and trucks with maga miles on them.

The basic merc lump is bullet proof. You may have to replace a turbo, egr etc but the basic unit is sound.

Fwiw I change oil and filter every six months.

Fit a catch can too.

If you do not have DPF I would be tempted to use a heavy duty oil like an E9. If it is hot where you are I would even go 10w-40.
