They'll supply a vehicle for me, but it is 3 days to check & verify it is the clockspring, (again. They did this last year.) Then order the part, and finally a day to install.

This is something that I can do myself in an hour or less.
That's because they have to train the work experience boy on how to pull your steering wheel apart.

2nd time in a row I got a phone call the day before it was booked in telling me the part has not arrived. Said they would call when it becomes available but should not be long, that was 2 weeks back.

Dude , I've been waiting since this recall first came out , they have had the parts ordered for mine since then , but every month I ring them to inquire....still on back order sorry..........and yet JEEP still send me URGENT letters to get it done.................frustrating is the word that comes to mind, along with a few other choice words as well.

I just don't understand why they booked me in, twice, without actually having the part. Both times I confirmed that the part is available during the initial booking process

I got mine done yesterday so that's one less worry.

They were also supposed to do the heated mirror recall as they told me they had the parts. After picking it up, they told me that they didn't have them and now they are on order.

Oh well, 1 out of 3 recalls repaired is better than nothing.

Thinking about it now, I think you are right. Based on the workmanship & damage done when it was replaced, this time!
