Didn't need to take out the fuse, just ended up finding a mechanic who did me a pink slip without even getting in the car lol. Although it's a shame I need to take it to a proper jeep service centre to fix this air bag light issue, none of the auto electricians I have taken it to can help me.

If its anything like the XJ's it will be the clockspring behind the steering wheel.

I suppose he saw you drive the Jeep so it must be roadworthy. [emoji38]

Not true, they run different wiring within the clockspring and what happens on the XJ's and WJ's is the insulation wears and the side that it wears on is the positive wire for the airbag, I replaced mine a few months ago, not a difficult job, just remember to disconnect the positive terminal of the battery around 10 mins before you're ready to start working on it to ensure you don't accidentally set the airbag off. The manual says 2 mins, I do 10, gives me time for a quick cup of tea lol.

Is it fairly easy to check if it is the clock spring? Is it a matter of pulling apart the steering wheel or entire dash? If it is the clock spring any idea where I can get one for the KK at a reasonable price? Had a look at rock auto and they are out of stock, saw one on ebay for $300+!

If you had a JK, I'd say it was definitely the clockspring! Does the light go on & flash when you turn the wheel to a particular angle? That's another clockspring symptom.
