Default 4.56's or 4.88's?? Crd wrangler

Hey guys I am currently ready to pull the pin on installing an aftermarket front 44 in my jku crd auto.
I plan on running 35's at some stage, so will need to re gear... (bettee to do it whilst front diff & locker are going in)
Was just wondering what you would run and why???
I hear the 4.88's are smaller teeth, making it a weaker centre is that true?

Also since I'm planning on runnung 35's is there anything else I should do in the rear, other then locker and re gear???

Cheers,
Matt

take a 4.88 auto for a drive with 35's, many say they just rev a bit too high altho it seems to be the most common ratio for the crd auto is 4.88 with 35's

I would run 488s with 35s as a minimum. If you didn't have a d30 I would go to 513s.
I ran 488s on 37s and with a rubi case in my old JK CRD, then I was happy with the crawl.

Yeh I have an t44 housing plus goodies waiting to go in.
Dam was hoping 456's would do the job (don't want it revving to high on the fwy)
What rpm were you getting at 100-110??

Thanks guys,
Keep the opinions coming!

Default 4.88 great

4 years back i looked into this exact ratio decision for my 2007 CRD auto. The mega Jeep experienced Eddie (sinced tragically pasted away) from 4WDUSA here in WA recommended 4.88. I have 35's. With my Procal tweaks mine runs great. 100kph and about 1900rpm. Is this okay? Don't know but it feels right!
