Are you putting a behind bar winch on it?

We bolted the 33s on this week and we used wheel spacers on the back to solve that issue. So far everything is looking good, but I haven't taken it off-road yet. I'll be posting more info and some photos soon on the whole process.

Cheers,

Are wheel spacers legal? I thought that was one of those questionable areas?

Hey boxheadmr,

We're looking very seriously at incorporating a hidden winch mount into our WK2 Pre-Runner that is coming out later this year.

Cheers,
Bill

Hey Matt,

You're right this is an area that has been very confusing legally. We've been talking at length with our ADR compliance engineer regarding the laws and where the laws are headed (there are some changes currently being proposed). I'll be posting an article on our blog at some point trying to clarify this topic for everyone. At present, we're only using the spacers for testing. When we find the right offset for proper fitment, we'll purchase wheels with that offset.

As it turns out, stock offset seems best for the front wheels, so there is no issue there. We're still testing on the rear.

Cheers,
Bill

Hey SnakeDoctor,

We've completed about 1/2 the items on the list so far. I'll be posting a bunch of photos soon.

The growth of Chief Products has been keeping me pretty busy. The updates are definitely coming though!!

Cheers,
Bill

Am veritably champing at the bit to see the pre-runner prototype, especially with the likelihood of a winch option! I'm hoping this item will complete my build... Ok maybe Uneek rock sliders too.

Presumably the OME suspension upgrade tomorrow will keep me smiling for a while whilst I await the Chief pre-runner!
