I can't see any QLD clubs stepping up unfortunately. I'll be getting married in sep 2014 so wherever it is, hopefully I can make Jambo part of the honeymoon.. I've got 2 years to talk my Toyota loving fiancé to agree. Lol

QLD would be awesome and I've already talked to a few people to start brainstorming on trips ect :P! I think you'd find it would be spectacular.
Warm, Beach Trips, HIllslimbs, Hard and Soft wheeling and tonnes of scenic trips.....= priceless!

Well done to SJC too, great event and I was gobsmacked at how many stock Jeeps there were there! Let the modding begin!

Perhaps a couple of smaller clubs could partner together to hold the event to get the critical mass required. Of course, partnering brings it's own issues in regard to risk management, but unless you just want to rotate it among the biggest clubs then it has to happen - or as others have said the event has to change focus and/or downsize expectations.

Remember that the Cherokee Club of NSW hosted the 2008 Jambo after the orignal host dropped out, and they (Cherokee Club) are about the same size or smaller than the ACT club. They did a great job. They had the help of the Coffs guys who did some trips, and great participation from a Brisbane Jeep dealership that brought a trailer full of clothing, parts, etc down to sell at the event. The afternoon parts auction was a great event at that Jambo. So a small club can do it.

Wherever it ends up being - I can see myself taking time out to attend the next one for sure! Last weekend was a blast... even though the head and body didn't want any part of being shaken around on a track on the Sunday :/

Agreed. That's what I mentioned to someone up here. QLD Jeepers, BJC and SCJC should Homologate for the event.

Cannot agree more Glen.Considering the Cherokee Club only commited themselves in 2008 with 7 months of prep time was amazing. And to see what they were able to achieve in such a short timeframe surprised everyone. Attending the ""08"" Jambo was my 1st Jeep event and prompted me to join their club.08 in my opinion is the most successfull national event since considering the prep times other hosting clubs have enjoyed. The parts auction and ""giving away""of most of the goods supplied by sponsors were real positives of the event and are yet to be replicated at more recent Jambo,s.
