I have my PCM Raining here in the Outback so I have to wait a bit until it dries up Could this be a case of Murphy's Law/Luck?..... Car is Fixed .. Rain in the Outback ..... Cant go anywhere for at least a Week

I did the PCM swap standing in the mud with all these little black ants wanting to climb up my legs ........
turned the key ON the Check Engine Light acted NORMAL! stayed On for a few seconds and then went OFF and So Did the Fuel Pump!......Murphy's Law again... The Battery is FLAT!............................................. .........................
Cant get close to Jump it
So I wait while the battery is on charge... Not trying to Jinx Myself but I am pretty confident the Jeep will Start
Everything seems to be Normal again
(We are thinking of buying a NEW PCM from the USA once the exchange rate goes up a bit keep it for a spare who knows how long this PCM will Last)

good luck...but a known good battery is essential to run these.

I know for a fact they wont run properly, if at all,
if the battery is dud, but you jump start them

One more things, you may wish to confirm before buying, I did a little research..there is NO SUCH THING as a "new" PCM

ONLY remnanafactured, which is resoldering an old board

worth double checking

I would certainly examine yours for repairable faults, following those videos

And it don't start I opened my mouth too early and Jinx myself............... thanks for the info awg
I will check for spark tomorrow at least the fuel pump and check engine light behave ....

I checked all the fuses under the hood all good didn't bother with under the dash I don't think any of them are for running and starting I used a test light in a plug lead and no spark
Pcm seems to be working fine asd and fuel pump are turning off after priming about the same time the check engine light goes off .... At least that's Fixed!
I plugged my scanner in and it Linked... No Codes
I also checked for codes by turning the key on and off way
I did it twice first time I got a 32 a egr valve? second I got a 22 tps low voltage? I only just recently checked my tps and all was fine They might be old codes from before? I don't know but are going to check the sensors again tomorrow starting with the crank which usually = no spark
I still wonder about the crank being plugged in backwards it might of spiked the pcm and started or helped its decline ???
well at least I am not back at square 1

And Now For Something Completely Different!
Here in Blackall we just had more rain in the last few days than we have had in the last 9 years I think about 186 ml so the ground is like a sponge the father in law gets both his cars bogged in his back yard confident me says I will pull you out when the battery is charged and we know what happened next the jeep did not start ok we will use the red 99 yesterday we put 10 litres of fuel in charged the battery fired right up some smoke started coming off the engine manifold side I thought old crc wd40 I sprayed on engine after parking a lot of smoke ok some oil on exhaust? we turned it off for use today one of the cars a plastic ford ka you have to use a screw in tow eye it had never been used we had to break the seal on the clip to remove it and it don't fit too big wrong thread wrong from the factory in 1999 so I got under the red 99 sport couldn't see any mess that might burn and now the red 99 sport wont start .... WTF! Am I spreading a xj disease infecting the 99 with 96 sickness
