Smile TRIP LEADER TRAINING - Expression of interest

Hi There..

As all you MJOC members can see on our website www.mjoc.org.au there are NO NEW TRIPS posted.
This is the first time that we have had no trips in the pipeline.

So PK and I thought we would see how many members would be interested in doing Trip Leader Training so we can stimulate some new trip activity.

The course includes an evening theory session and a full day in the bush practising skills such as navigation, recovery, convoys, communications, people management etc.

This would also be a good opportunity for members who may have previously done the course but may not have run a trip for a while to refresh and gain some more skills and experience that may encourage a new trip or two.

So if you have completed at least our basic training and have the experience and/or enthusiasm to get involved in running a trip and want to learn how to do that successfully please let us know... if we get enough interest we will run the course during November.

Fletch

Must say Fletch now that I have my new JK I've been looking at joining the MJOC recently but with no trips or member training advertised on your web site in the foreseeable future I was wondering if there is any point at the moment. For new members who are also very experienced drivers in another club, what is the minimum training required to become a trip leader in the Jeep club?

Please dont let our current situation stop you from joining our great club. We do have some trips about to be posted and this thread is to see if any members would like to do the trip leader training. Any one who has done our basic course or similar Four Wheel Drive Victoria accredited course with the enthusiasm to learn and has some 4WD experience is eligible to do the trip leader training. The more trained trip leaders we have the better, trip leader training ensures that our trips are run in a safe and responsible manner and are fun and complement the Jeep Lifestyle we all love.
