Default Storage Boxs in Camper

I plan to use Storage Boxs - 50 litre size and was wandering is there anyone had any issues with them sliding about the inside of their trailers?

As it is fully closed it makes tieng them down out of the question.
They will be used for food, linen, spares, lighting ect.

4' wide trailer ???

Checkout the kitab containers at Bunnings.

Been using them ever since BigW first started selling them years ago.

3 x size capacities ... but are all the same length and width ... just different heights ... length is 600mm ... so - two end for end, fill the trailer width and prevent moving around.

Check the actual trailer internal measurement tho ... 4' isnt always 4' depending on who did the welding.

Crappy lids are available and need some sealing tape. i made up one timber lid that covered three (or whatever) rows of tubs that held them all in place,

Different colours for easy ID of contents

Heaps stronger (and more expensive) than the weak clear plastic ones. Save some space by using them as washing up / bathing buckets as well.

The milk crate sized Nally Cube style that Bunnings also has access to ... have the same base measurement as 2 x jerrycans ... and can be handy as well.

We use the clear ones as it's easy to see whats inside rather than searching thru them

You could also put non slip matting on the base of your trailer to stop them going anywhere.

Yep, put matting (we use old carpet) on the floor of the trailer to stop them sliding around, and also stops rattles etc.

You may find slightly smaller boxes are easier to use, esp if heavy tuff in them.
If you don't have a kitchen, I made one out of 5 ply that slides in and out the back, and this holds anything to do with cooking, which makes it much easier to find the other stuff......

Thanks for the comments and PMs sure gives me food for thought, the trailer space is about 5 ft 6 inch wide and 6 ft long, fully carpeted out so plenty of area to fill. As the rear tailgate is not across the whole back I can put a row of so 3 crates each side about 12 inchs wide and they will stay put and bigger boxs in the middle, even if some of the side boxes remained empty they would work a treat. I might even tie the two inner boxes together to make it easier to pull out or make a large slide to put them all on, we will see.
