I purchased myself a Christmas present the other day!
A cheap drone ($49) from supercheap.
First saw it in an email they sent me, so I went into the local store and inquired.
They didnt have any, were not getting any & the nearest store with one was 200km away! They said they could not do a store transfer as it had a lithium battery. The lady at the counter said she couldnt understand why they were not getting them in as they would be a great present for a child! She wanted one & was sure they could sell many of them.
They could order me one, but it would be delivered direct to me & I would be charged postage. I declined.
Being a little annoyed, when I got home, I rang the phone number on my membership card. Spoke to a lass in QLD named Graice. She was very helpful. When I explained what had happened, she gave me free delivery. She was probably the most helpful phone salesperson I have ever spoken to!
It arrived a couple of days later.
Great little toy, when assembled, its about the size of an A4 piece of paper. Still learning with it.
The kitten & dog dont like it & run into another room when it takes off.
Can now fly it around the lounge room without crashing.
Will venture outside with it when there is no wind.

Oil I wait for the good specials then pounce, usually with very good savings.. Have also found if another place has it cheaper and Supercheap is closer I'll go to Supercheap, show them a screen shot of the special on my phone so they will price match, often they will have it a week later at a lower price and I end up with a credit..... I have even ordered and paid online and a mate in Maryborough will pick it up for me saves me doing a 120km round trip for one thing... usually means when I do go up there's a free lunch involved as well, win, win.....
Thankfully my Jeeps have been very reliable so purchases from the US are not often and then mostly for very Jeep specific items which would be a dealer option, so AustPost wins there compared to a months wait and a 200 odd km trip ...
