Default Bleeding electro hydraulic power steering

Anyone know if there is a procedure to bleed the electro hydraulic power steering system on my 2015 gc.
Have drained and refilled the master cylinder but was thinking a flush of the whole system would be alot better.

No idea personally genpk but try All Grand Cherokee or Jeeps'r'Us...if anybodies done it...correctly...they would know the process.

ps: A Mine experienced Diesel Fitter may also have the procedure down pat as 'most' large Mine Trucks use electric over hydraulic...same 'basic' systems but I'd be chasing vehicle specific procedures from the experts on our buses.

I have it noted in my book but am on the road so will get back to you .........

Long lunch so did some reading .........

My book says Vac it out of reservoir and refer to 11-13 manual (the later WSM only refers to full electric) probably why I haven't done it yet........ I would probably be looking at bleeding from the hose on pump that comes from the reservoir, while topping up the reservoir until cleaner fluid ran out, maybe doing it twice with a run up between the two to move it around the pump ... it's a pressure system not like the old mechanical system where the fluid powers the pump, more like a clutch or brake system ....

Disconnect the RETURN hose from the pwr steering cooler, let it run through, top up reservoir, repeat. Draining and replacing fluid in reservoir, only replaces what you can visually see, nothing more - nothing less !
As the there is no return hose from the PUMP to the reservoir, so it never physically gets circulated as such

interesting, i would have thought there would be some point on the steering rack
that could be bled so new fluid could be around the rack seals which are the things that usually go on these units.

They suck the fluid out of the system from up top as really to bleed such a system you would have to it by gravity, if you ran it, it would be like a fuel line not very safe and high pressure up to 100psi, it would run dry instantly and there goes the pump.... the electric motor runs the pump to increase or decrease the pressure to move the rack, some HP there unlike a mechanical PS unit..... Having had a good look at things I will leave mine alone unless the fluid up top looks yucky, the seal/boot problem I think may be more like dirt/crud on the steering arms chewing the seal, bit like my bike shocks in Canberra winter, ice on forks would chew up the seal until I made some ice deflectors for them...

Just some thoughts anyway.

I guess as ive sucked out the master cylinder and replaced it with new LDAS fluid
ill leave it that.Hopefully that will be enough .
