thans guys, thats the info i was after.

Looks like its a XJ then, hows the ride with the rear leaf set up?

I have just gotten out of a twin ARB locked lifted and tricked up hilux so will be doing the same with the XJ.

After i find the right base truck to work with ill be doing the following before it even gets taken back out of the shed.

Auto locker in the rear

ARB air locker up front

4 1/2 lift from wooders Rubicon Express XJ 4.5” Super-Flex System W/Add-A-Leafs

33's "will these fit ok with this lift?" i have read i may still need to do some minor trimming?

Custom bar work 360 Deg around the truck and maybe a winch

Aftermarket chunky flares

Roofrack

Ect ect.

Looking for a fairly cheap XJ {Around 4k or so} so the funds i just got from selling the lux can be put into mods.

Will i need to get anything else with the above list or will it be spot on right away?

Should only take me about a month to get it all done once i pick up steam.

Oh, and should i be looking for a specific XJ version or are they all the same? and mechanical things to look for would be great while im hunting around so i can limmit the chance of buying a lemon "this will also be the mrs daily driver".

Cheers
Dan

Don't buy a Diesel XJ.
That is all.

thanks for the links aussie, that big red would be the go but being registered in VIC i would have to drop it back down to standard to get it registered in QLD.

Very well priced for what it is though and is a bargain from what ive seen.

The other ones are ok, but the one thing i have learnt is to buy a stock truck and build it up myself, generaly other people's idea of modifying can be a bit on the dodgy side. But when i modify something i do it once and do it properly.

Then i can be sure it will get me home without a doubt.

Thats why that promo big red rig would be great though as it has been shp built. Real pitty its not in QLD

Yep that red truck is not bad, that carpark is about as far off road as it has likely to have ever gone!

ive come around to the idea of big red "in the link above". Only problem is im in QLD and the lift would be illegal. It says its a 4 inch but it looks much larger, is it just me?

I could probably drop it down to 3 inch if i re do the back leaf packs and get 3 inch coils for up front and this would be boarder line.

Any opinions on this rig from people that know jeeps?

And what do they handle like when lifted, this will be the mrs daily ride and "my" weekend toy so it will need to be safe for her to drive.

Once again, im clueless when it comes to jeeps so im just going to have to sponge off you guys for information.

Cheers
Dan
