If only a 550Nm Diesel was available in the WG. I tossed and turned about the 2.7 vs the 4.7V8. Ended up going with the 4.7 HO overland. Economy in the city sits at around 14-17L-100km depending on how well you pussy foot it. In the country crusing it goes down to around 12. All stock this is, and a HO motor keep in mind.

Make sure you head to http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ad.php?t=72023 to view some common faults. wjjeeps.com is also a fantastic site for information, and heading to the grand subforum will get better replied from the offroaders (I'm still waiting for a lift & armour).
