They informed me that for NSW they have a supply date of the end of September, but mave have better details if I call back in a couple of weeks.
Nepean Motor Group?

There's no way I'm letting them touch my JK again after they had trouble getting it onto a flat bed so I could actually get my starter motor replaced within 2 bloody weeks - I wouldn't even advise people to buy from there TBH

Strange. I've had no real issues with them. But I do as much as possible myself, & most of the rest by a local mechanic. (The usual one has usually also got an offroad buggy in the workshop. One that runs the Finke Desert Rally etc.)

There's another that I used for the clutch as the first was too busy to fit me in at the time. Someone on here mentioned using them & that they did a good job on the Jeep for them.

FINALLY!

I got the letter to say book it in to get the passenger airbag replaced. Will call them this morning 7 ask them to fix the clockspring when they do. The one they put in for the recall is stuffed as the horn doesn't work until you turn the steering wheel ~45 degrees either way...

I can see me getting into another argument with my local dealer who won't book it in for any recall until it comes in for a service.

I think it's time to threaten them with going to FCA or fair trading because I've had a gut full.

So, I called up to book it in... and was told they can't do that as they do not have any parts for the recall yet. And they can only make an assessment of the clockspring, then will have to order it in if it is the fault. I was, to say the least, less than impressed.

Called FCA to enquire as to the availability of said airbags, they said maybe at the end of the month. So I then asked, why, in that case, was I sent a letter saying to "contact my CJD dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment" if they didn't actually have any parts yet? Since they cannot make an appointment when they don't have the parts. Understandably, she had no answer to that at this time. And could on;y say they should arrive in a couple of weeks & I'll be sent a letter when they arrive.

I pointed out that I was already holding that one.

@Banshee It's painful isn't it...

I called Jeep Australia and they couldn't tell me when the parts were available, they took my contact detail and told me they would call me back within 24 hours, that was Monday, I still haven't heard from them...

Call my local dealer because I got the letter, then was told they still had no parts, no ETA on parts and they would call me back when they had some. I wont be holding my breath.

Do you think they would listen if we all grouped together and went to the ACCC?

There really isn't a lot the ACCC can do. Let's face it, they are dependent on supply from a company in Japan that has gone into receivership because of this.

I disconnected mine when I had a look at it... Rusty airbag
