Default cold air intake

i amthe owner of a 2010 rubicon and am looking to try and gain a bit more power for highway cruising.I occasionally tow a camping trailer (about 1000kg) and find the petrol engine does lack power in this area.Has any one installed a cold air intake or a cat back exhaust in order to get the power gains.I run a superchips tuner and always run 98 octane.I love the rubicon for its 4wd ability and this was the reason i went for the rubicon and not the diesel.

seems you do a bit of offroading so i would think a CAI is not a great idea as the filter is in most cases with these units exposed to the elements rather than neatly tucked away in a box which is obviously a cause for concern when in very dusty or muddy conditions and even water crossing as it splashes through your engine bay.
I think if you wanted to go a CAI and want to do offroading as well then the snorkel is the way to go IMO

i was a bit worried about it being so exposed so maybe a snorkel with a k&n filter may be the go.Any thoughts on a throttle body spacer to create the vortex? As for the exhaust, looking under the car the exhaust seems quite large, any one know what size it is?

i have a K&N filter for onroad use only as they are not great for offroad either. I used mine offroad up in sandy conditions and it let fine particles through the filter and have heard similar stories from many people so mine is now strictly onroad only.
I used a throttle body spacer on my old TJ and whilst any power increase was not overly noticable it did assist when used with a decent free flowing exhaust and a CAI.
I assume your referring to the muffler as it bloody huge and i ended up removing mine and put a Gibson split system on there, now i just want to put a set of extractors on there

Supercharger should fix your problems, It would repay itself with big grins and bragging rights.
