Default The BLOODY August Rant thread.

Monday morning at work.
Now I have been using angle grinders at work for 20 years. This morning one bit me. What I thought was a tiny bump after I had released the switch on the side of my wrist was more than a flesh wound. I thought it had only just barely touched the skin but it cut me real deep. Blood hit the wall over a metre away.
Anyway it was hospital for me. I had managed to stem the flow and was taken into Emergency straight away. I have now come out of theatre with a dressing. I have stitches and they say I nicked an artery.
Shit happens....I will be fine.

I feel your pain!
About 20 years ago I had an angle grinder wheel fly to bits. It hit the lower parts of 2 fingers on my left hand. Trip to A&E & about 5 hrs later after they re-joined a tendon & a few other bits of repair, I went home. Its all fine now.
Good Luck with it!

I have a good news rant for a change. The best job I have ever had just got better with another promotion!

In the 18 months I have been there I started as a Project Manager / Business Analyst, then took over the role of Systems Manager looking after our team of software developers for the last year, to now ICT Systems Manager now looking after the IT department and the software developers!

I must be doing something right for a change Happy Friday everyone.
