Default AEV programmer for the JK

Now we can program those little things ourselves and not need the dealer to assist!

US$129 isn't too bad I guess but the settings are the sort of thing you'd change once or twice and then not worry about for a while (with the exception of tyre size perhaps). I'm assuming the dealer can do anything this thing can do? For a fee of course, but surely not much if you're already in for service.

I was just avout to say this would be a good bit of gear to share around till I read this:
Quote:
Once used for recalibration, AEV's ProCal Module stores a vehicle's VIN in its memory. While a VIN is stored in memory, a ProCal Module cannot be used on a second vehicle. To use the ProCal Module on a second vehicle, the first vehicle must be recalibrated to stock. This will clear the first VIN and ready the ProCal Module for use on the second vehicle.

Actually, dealers can only change speedo for stock tire sizes and gear ratios, they have no access to the TPMS (tire pressure) for those of you who like to drive at less then the required 37psi or even turn the system off for those wanting rubber valve stems or running tubes. Dealers also don't have access to the Day Time Running Lamps or many of the other functions. Right now, the only place that can do a proper alignment is a Chrysler dealer, the steering wheel centering feature allows you to get a proper alignment at any alignment shop to keep your ESP happy. Their should be a way to turn off the seat belt chime listed in the owners manual, so no need for us to mess with it.
More info on our forum if you guys are interested. Only thing we've found with the export models so far is that the high idle feature doesn't work with the 2.8L CRD, but at least you guys get the big Optima batteries unlike the gas models.

Good to hear the tyre pressure monitors can be turned off! That should be music to the ears of anyone who has after market rims without the monitors. $129 is much cheaper than buying a second set of monitors too!

Any likelihood of this device being able to stop seatbelt and door chimes though??? I would buy one in a second if it could do that!
