Rust on JK door hinges

Strange thing is I was talking to a guy on the week end and he has the same problem, first noticed rust around screws near windscreen when they picked up the car from new took it back and it came back clean and the dealer said it was just the pre-delivery dust,mmm, now they have rust coming out on their door hinges, really shows up on their white JK.

I got the ERP because they said if it ever rusts they will repair or replace for the life of the vehicle, find out tomorrow if they were full of shit or not!!!

Mine was sent back to Jeep after it's last service to be done at the local panel shop Jeep said that if anyone else was having a problem to bring their car in and it would be fixed. 3 hinges were removed and repainted.

i agree with Jkohn that the rust protection devices do not work Had one on my TJ and it did squat

i have seen many jk's already with this issue, i guess its just a matter of time....

both ours have the same issue jeep is getting them in to repair soon not good rust pro etc on ours and only 12 mnths old

Very interesting to hear, haven't picked up my JK yet (later this week, can't wait!!!) I was sold on the ERP myself as they claimed what nickandrina stated "Repair or Replace..." so it will be interesting to see how true that statment after a number of years. However once I get it I will still get it fully treated the traditional way as an extra measure.
