Have seen too many "F" ups from "one shop fixes all".... Diffs in 4WD's can be used HARD so need all the TLC they can get.
IMHO go to a real diff specialist not just a 4WD "workshop". If they build custom diffs ( i.e build from scratch / make & machine parts ) then there's a good bet they really know what they are on about.
They will be a few bucks dearer than the bloke who 'can chuck that together for ya..." but you'll get a quality job, which will pay off down the track. Take the time to call in have a chat and a look around.... you'll soon figure out who the experts are.
A dead give away of the "she'll be right diff place" is the use of shim stacks ( a collection of whatever was around.... ) to get the clearances required. A professional will grind a SINGLE shim to the right size for each side - exactly as the diff comes from Dana.
