I'm no expert but spoken to the guys at Hammonds in Capalaba (QLD) and they have said even be careful attaching bigger wheels to the spare due to extra weight on the door hinges...

Found this the other day ... OR FAB Swing-A-Way Tire / Can Carrier ... fits on to standard rear ...

Also ceck with your local RTA or whatever as I know guys that got pinched with having a jerry out (away) from the protection of the bumper. They took it to court and still lost.

i wonder if they have reinforced where the swing away latches onto the car as with 2 Jerry cans thats alot of extra weight. I suspect they would have to as surely it would eventually give under that load, especially offroad

If it's anything like the TJ swing awazy, they have a reinforcing plate that attatches to the inside of the mounting points, u could swing a tank on these things.

Month or 2 a go someone posted side mounted jerry can holders just behind front fenders. Anyone know which company sells them
