Default isolator switch for Winch quick question

Hey can't seem to find this anywhere on the Internet.
Going to install a isolator switch on my negative cable running to winch.

Im planning on installing a 500amp isolator (120 continuous rating) from my understanding this isolator switch should be fine as long as i don't turn power off to winch while its under load is this correct?

Also if worst case scenario i had to stop winch in emergency what would happen if i did use the isolator switch as a circuit breaker under great load(say 220amp power draw)

Just put a isolator on the triger wires. I've rigged mine up so i have a switch going to the on off on switch that is all you need the only time a solenoid would turn on by it self is if the trigger activated. I dont think it would make a difference if you were to turn the power off to the winch as it would depressing the button. If your having issues of a winch sticking get a Albright solinoid other wise i think its a waste of money and a weak link in the chain that could burn out the motor. Restricted current causes heat which in turn causes kabloweee. Have the isolator on the circuit where there not going to be alot of power pumping through it.
