Default Jerry Can Holder for JK ???

Has any one come across a Jerry Can Holder that attaches to the spare tyre carrier on a JK? Planning a trip up to Cape York so would be nice to carry a little bit more fuel.

Thanks Matt. However I was hoping there was something that didnt require a new rear bumper. Just a simple bracket that attaches to the spare would do.

i suggest you may need the rear bumper type of mounting. the spare wheel is attached to the rear door and the bracket is designed to hold the spare wheel. if you add a bracket for a jerry can the weight and leverage it has on that bracket is immense. also the extra weight on the door hinges. then add the factor of a vehicle bouncing about with that extra 25 kg hanging on the rear mount. although a wheel mounted carrier may seem a cheap option now, further down the track you may find it has been a very expensive mistake. could be something to think about. also if you go for the roof mounted type on a roof rack, be careful of the load you put on the rack. the hardtop is only resin and will crack under load. some of them attach to the rear tail light mounts and to the front windscreen mounts and will only carry a very light load as a result. you have to consider not only the weight of the fuel container , but also the effect of that container bouncing up and down. i know this a very off putting type post, but the steel chassis mounted rear bumper carrier is extremely strong and you will be giving the vehicle quite a workout on the trip. cheers.

I'm sure I saw a new product reviewed in one of the 4WD mags recently. I think it attached to the spare. If I come across it I'll post the info.
