Default XJ 96 Cherokee radiator leak

I have a 96 XJ Cherokee sport that has developed a water coolant leak from the auto transmission cooler line that connects to the radiator.
Has anyone else had a similar problem , is it just a case of just tighten up the connection to the radiator bit worried about breaking the fitting.
Another option is to use stop leak does that really work ok.

I had a previous problem where water coolant leaked into my auto transmission causing it having to be rebuilt, don't want to do that again because of the costs.

Should I just replace the radiator again its about 4 years old but being filled with plain water for last few times or take the jeep to the radiator repairer.

If it was mine I'd clean it up and squirt some high temperature silicone around the joint. May work, may not.

Locktite have a range of thread sealants. I'd remove the fitting, clean it up & apply thread sealant.

Opps. Thanks Richard. Senior moment. Depending on age of Radiator possible repair of fitting connection but would probably require rad removal. Better to replace with new Rad.

Looks like a trip to the radiator shop and see what they say and get a price on a new radiator , is the way to go.
