I'll have to snap some pics of my new rig and I can finally post in here
On the weekend I whacked on the roof cross rails, my Rola rack, my awning, Quick Fist mounts for my shovel (don't Google that one) and installed my UHF, on the vertical carpet between the seat and park brake, it's a half decent spot I reckon, out of the way, yet still accessible. I stuck with the stubby flexible antenna I used on the WJ. This time I mounted it at the top of the rear of the rack in the middle, cable runs through the cabin round the trim and through the wiring grommet out onto the roof, it's just sort of sitting there, not pinned down, however ya can't really notice it. I didn't have enough cable to run it to the side by the roof rail cap thing, ah well, shit happens!
Range seems quite good from the few tests I've done.

Tried to disassemble my light bar due to water penetration. No luck.
Will wait till it carks it then upgrade.
But I did replace ALL the oils today.
Plus the spark plugs.
Lots of grit in the inlet manifold. Bit worrying.
Sanded down the inlet manifold interface, the sealing surface is so much better.
Garage is a bit smelly of oil and stuff.

I pulled one apart for similar reason years ago, once all the bolts are undone it should come apart easily, then run a bead of silicone around it and she'll be water tight for years.

Made a new boot floor, massive bit of ply for 10 bucks from some pallet place, measured up and bolted the drawers to it, quite manageable to get it in and out without the drawer in, so the frame and ply all lift out together. I did wonder on the tilting thing though, fridge will sit on top of the drawer to slide out, but if I whack another drawer next to it the whole box and dice will pivot up nicely with the back seat folded down. My compressor will fit nicely in front of the fridge too, as it's huge, one of the Kings Double Pumper thingos, it does pump stuff up pretty quick however, quicker than both of my mates very pricey ARB pumps
