New turbo for a CRD Commander (I assume it suits a WH GC as well) for $300 - located in Lithgow:

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/lithg...rbo/1102604557

If I wasn't over the other side of the Country I would grab it!

Clarky - want to pop around the corner and grab it for me?

AEV Savegre wheels, 2" lift and 4xGuard Matrix nudge bar is a great starting point. I wish I could have the wheels and bar!

And it is a good Commander, I have driven this one many times when I have been in Australia. It has had a lot of work done to it, to keep it in top condition.

Very interesting, now if it was a GTB2260VKLR (Ball bearing) not a GTB2260VK (journal bearing) it would be mine & if I hadn't just forked out $2k on diffs

clanky how do you know its a journal and not a roller bearing, i can't see anything in the pic, also what do the commanders come with standard. either way $300 bucks is pretty cheap.

The factory standard turbo is a journal design, the ad says "as new" so I am assuming it has been used. The ball bearing type needs a custom mount and water lines added that are not factory fitted.

Yes $300 is really cheap & if its still available in a few months then it might end up in my garage.
