They use a special tool to slowly work the dent out. They can get in virtually anywhere with without panel removal. I have not seen it done but have seen the results afterwards and you would never know there was a dent there before.

that's what the panel shop is doing, and it will be under insurance, but if it cost too much they will write the car off, so the panel shop is going to work with me

Yerr that is always the scary thing when we drive XJ's they tend to owe us fives times what they are a worth on the market. A claim is often the last thing we want. I have thought about buying mine back if it ever did get written off. And I mean lets face it if the damage is much over 3k we don't stand much chance of getting it repaired.
