Ive been looking around for a trailor for ages. I came accross a guy who just like his cousin has more shit than he knows what to do with. SO after a brief chat I had to supply plans of what I want this converted too.
Its an ex race car trailor that used to be boxed in with tool/storage boxes all around. Its got HQ drum brakes on all 4 wheels. Bit of storage surface rust that goes through both the outside and inside surface.
But a good solid platform to start with.
It has to be full width. Gonna build it as a low flat bed with drive over gaurds.
I could have just used any old tandem trailor but I wanted a wide one to suit the Willys. Gonna leave ramps on permenantly hinged.
But make them wide so quads can get up onto it easily and normal cars too. This was the old ramp door. Gonna take a section out of the centre and replace the plate with wire mesh for less aerodynamic resistance.
Add a small tie down rail all the way around. A couple of reccessed tie down points, rewire it with a new set of led lights, Hand winch and some levelling foot stays on each corner so it doubles as a stable work platform. Weld a vice to it, eventually box in the A frame to fit a generator and compressor.
Cant wait. Either can these guys....
