Clevis bracket bushing

Hey all

I think I need new "Clevis bracket bushes" the rubber ones that are on the lower control arms where the bottom of the clevis fork mounts.
Doe's anyone know roughly how much these bushes cost? fitted?

This post used to contain a recommendation for sourcing clevis bushings from Morris 4x4 (Crown Branded now). Recently cmohr's warning (below) about those bushings have been confirmed yet again.

So if possible get Jeep original equipment clevis bushings.

At present the only Morris 4x4 suspension part in my KJ is the rear upper control arm balljoint and I'll be watching that carefully. Other stuff I was holding from them, like the rear upper control arm bushings have now been binned.

I replaced these Clevis bushes myself about 2yrs ago, bought original Mopar bushes from Manfield Jeep Parts, they were 99-00 dollars delivered. Fitted them myself, still going strong.

I dont know about Morris parts now.. I did buy all the rear control arm bushes from them and they lasted 2 weeks of driving to work on sealed roads.The rear lower control arm bushes to axle tore out almost completely, the upper control arm bushes to body, bent and rattled, They where "Crane" brand cheap chinese rip off parts with original Mopar part numbers. They may have now changed their supplier but I would check that before ordering. I wasted 500-00 on parts and to try and get a refund I had to send them back at my own expense ( another 180-00 dollar freight that I would not see back) and then I would not get my money just more cheap replacement parts..I actually just showed Fouros the ripped parts the other day.

No no... I would just check with them who their supplier is, and what brand you are buying. Morris are good suppliers, and their prices are certainly cheap, all their diff gears and stuff are great, I'd just check brand. I was under the impression, when quoting the oem part numbers they would be original, but they were not, and with us being half a world away, very hard for returns.

I did the same as Chris. I bought them from the dealer and fitted them myself. Same cost approx.
The job is a PITA tho. The bushes are fitted pretty tight. I made a press out of an old scissor jack threaded rod and some steel tubing.
Side benefit of new bushes is that i regained 10-15mm lift. KJ felt heaps better afterwards.
