Default Largest Tyre Size 2014 WK2 Grand Cherokee limited

Purchased a 2014 Stock GC limited this week. Looking for the largest tyre size for 2014 GC stock limited WK2. Looking for height as well as width so I can reduce PSI on the soft sand around Newcastle. Has anyone tried 275/55/20 wiht no rub? Dont really want to go to smaller rims!!

If you are after the best sand performance then you should be swapping the 20's for 18's. I'm not saying you can't use 20's in sand, but your question suggests that you want the most footprint possible... which is always achieved with the smallest diameter rim and largest diameter tyre.

Cheers, Steve

I have been pondering the same question myself, 4 18s plus tyres versus 5 275/55/20 tires. Good advice from Barboots but I still can't make up my mind.

Yes I understand about the 18s but I am not in a position to buy new rims. I have done my fair share of beach driving and am aware of footprint importance So is the largest size 275/55 for the 20’s?

Check out Jeep Garage .org, plenty of owners there are using 275/55/20s with no rubbing or clearance problems but the spare does cause issues with the lid not closing completely due to the extra width.

I bought four Laredo/ORA rims for under $200. You might save that on tyres.

Maybe look around a bit...
