I would only run another relay off it, so ~200ma to switch or you could use a transistor switch circuit, ( and anything that loads or damages the fuel pump relay would have a similar effect to the ASD relay)

Both fuel pump and ASD relay coils should only get 12V from the run/start positions of the ignition switch. Not accessory. They both get coil ground momentarily after ignition on, or when cranking/running.
I actually put an hour counter on my ASD relay output at 115k miles. It turns out my 5k mile oil changes are at every 200 engine hours.

When I added an upgraded headlamp harness to my TJ years ago I went (with engine running) from 11.8V to 13.8V at the headlamps, which were noticeably brighter. A few years after that I fitted Trucklight LED headlamps.

You won’t beat good quality LED lights.

I've been reading this with interest. I did GoJeep's harness build and slightly better bulbs. Now been keen to move to LED, not least cos my housings are rubbish. But the light-bleed / blinding oncoming driver thing I want to avoid. Fishframe can you point to any 'no name' LED units that worked for you please? ...I've never managed to see my way through all the cheapo options on offer from China on ebay, thanks

These - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/For-Jeep...72.m2749.l2649
I am 100% confident they are ADR 46/00 compliant when fitted according to ADR 13/00 guidelines (ability to adjust and set light pattern ect...). These lights I am highly impressed with. They have a cheap price but are not cheap quality. I’m pretty sure they are the exact same light a US manufacturer puts their Brand on and sells them for considerably more. For me, on a TJ, plug and play, no flicker and fitted in less than 30mins each side. By the way, there was probably over 50 hours of internet research by me to determine these to be as good as they are.
