Default Advise on lifting my WH CRD

Hi All

I need some advice on lifting my WH. Forgive me I'm a newbie

How high can I go legally? without any engineering, is it 2 inch?

Will this affect my dealership warranty?

How much should I expect this to cost?

Does it effect the stability control?

Who should I get this done by?

Any advice on this would be appreciated

Thanks

In NSW maximum is 2" including wheels and lift without the certificate. Other states might be different.

It'll cost you anywhere from around $1500 and upwards, depending on the brand and installer.

As Tardis said, get on to Stu at Murchison Products.

I wouldn't go to westside, do a search for them for more info. Gary doesn't believe WH should be lifted and used offroad, even though his old boss had one. And told me so just after I spent $500 in his store. Last money he got from me!

But im also biased towards Stu as he has helped me heaps with my build.

2" is fine just about everywhere, and doesn't affect the ESP or BAS.

I bought some HD 2" King springs on Ebay. Cost about $300 new. Need to get some shocks. Been suggested to try Kolac from the US. Do a search and you'll find info from him.

I haven't installed them yet though. I have a concern about the front drive shaft angle being a CV style and the extra angle causing it to prematurely fail. I don't know if this is the case, but it happened when I lifted my WJ.

Pmac, unless you do a SL the front driveshaft angle doesn't change at all. The cradle for the front diff doesn't move. What kills WH front driveshafts are the diff isolators being worn and allowing extra movement.
