otherwise i will be going front first, for our kinf of terrain, everyone around here goes in front first, as you get further, there are a few tests on youtube to show that majority of vehicles get further in different terrain using a front lokker over a rear lokka, my opinion i would prefer front as i said in our area, as all tracks and cars stop as soon as a front wheel is lifted, we can lift backwheels and be fine but when you pop a front game over.. (feathering the break can help but more often than not your wearing more clutch than what you are making distance on tracks)
but i'm interested to see the thoughts of other WG/J owners guys

For the WJ/WG if you don't have Quadra-Drive standard (kinda like lockers front and rear) then you'll have Quadra-Trac 2 which is a fancy name for open diffs front and rear. If you have QD, then you prob don't need to swap them out for aftermarket lockers, but if you want to then you'll need to swap all the QD stuff out (carriers and axles) to the normal Quadra-Trac (open diffs), in order for aftermarket lockers to fit.
For the rear D44a/D44HD diff there are only ‘auto lockers’ avail. The brands that offer them are Lokka (in Adelaide), Aussie Locker (in the US), and LockRite (in the US). There is some argument that they are all actually the same product just rebranded... They can be installed quite easily without pulling out the carrier or anything so very cheap labour wise. I have done a thread on my install and impressions after fitting a Lokka to the rear of my first WJ so do a search on it (essentially they work great in a WJ with its smooth auto trans and longer wheelbase than the average Jeep, so the negative symptoms for auto lockers are hardly noticeable on WJ’s).
For the front D30, the options are endless.
My personal opinion is that if you have open diffs front and rear, I would always start at the rear with the locker, just because I’d rather have just the 2 back wheels doing the same thing rather than just the fronts due to balance, but in all honesty that’s just me, there’s no right or wrong (unless it’s a IFS vehicle then do the front first cos it doesn't flex). If you are going to lock the front diff, then because the WJ is ‘part time 4wd’ (i.e. you cannot select 2wd only) and it does not have free-wheeling hubs, in order to maintain onroad driveability (i.e. normal steering) then you should get a selectable locker of some sort as opposed to a auto locker.
