Default Arb CKMA12 vs CKMTA12

Obviously the twin is better spec'd than the single. Offroad about 8 times a year, running 285s and will most likely run 315s when there run out.

You advice and opinions are all appreciated!

I had the ARB that came in a toolbox type case (~$300)... It got stolen.

I replaced with one of these:
Starke Air 150PSi 12V 190L/Min compressor

The Starke is significantly faster than the ARB one was, I use it with 315's no problem

If it's only for doing tyres 8x/yr then I'd recommend the cheapy and see how long it lasts you

I was going to mount the twin (on my TJ) but it wouldn't fit where I wanted to put it, so I got the single - best compressor I've owned and I've had a few over the years.
Space might not be such an issue with a JK - I've seen plenty of clever twin mounts on JKs.

Only issue I've had with my CKMA12 - had to replace the relay and now I carry a spare relay, just in case

One of the big benefits of the ARB twin compressor is if one side fails for whatever reason the other side keeps working.
My ARB twin is permanently mounted in the rear of my JKUR above the wheel arch underneath the roll cage.
It takes around 45 seconds to inflate my 35" Mudhogs from 16psi to 32psi.

If you've got the coin to buy it, and the space to fit it, then definitely go the twin. Having said that, I have a CKMA12 mounted under my driver's seat, and have been very happy with the output.
