Default Help from those that have done tie rod ends ect

Hi,

Just wanting to check I have all components in my cart to replace tie rod and drag link ends and they are same for LHD vs RHD?

As far as I know.....all "tie rod ends" are the same forWJ LHD/RHD, "pitman arm end" is the same, but drag link to steering knuckle is different... you must use RHD unit. Might be ebay or repco etc.

Just check what prices you can get and go from there , the drag link to steering knuckle cost me about $90 from repco or bursons etc last time I got them but the others were much cheaper than that.They all take about the same time to get to my place, Rockauto is about 10days and Aust post can take similar to go from Melb to country Vic!! Worst part of ebay (for me is the search in ebay..comes up with nothing sometimes). SparesBox and others are good and they are on ebay for some things.
Also Rockauto is courier so can be a problem if someone is not home.

They are not the same, at least not all of them. I had mine replaced on my V8 and 3 of them were fine but I had to buy one separately since it is bend in the wrong direction. You have to assume that the steering is basically mirrored.

I think it is our passenger side on the steering link and not the drag link.
