Lower aftermarket arms and longer shocks and brakelines will give more droop. Same again with all mods is to make sure your bumpstops are right.

I'm totally blown away by the flex but as expected I now want more. Do aftermarket arms really give more flex or is that just a line given by guys that have forked out the cash ??
The stock lower arms limit down travel as the diff bottoms out on them at approx 230mm from the bump stop cup.
Aftermarket arms allow far more down travel due to the different shape, they also allow more steering travel before the tyres rub on them again due to the shape.
The bump stops are extremely important, especially on the drivers side.

Having looked at your pics I would have thought you were already running aftermarket arms looking at how much down travel it has, it certainly looks more than the stock components will allow....

Thanks JJ. Def have stock arms. Have new arms on the wish list but am starting to think they can wait a while. Learning heaps from you guys and plenty of tips from Gary at Westside 4x4 (aka Footos).
ARB front bar should be ready late June, then I can throw my winch on and mount UHF aerial. Sounds like I REALLY need to drop in and say HI.

Just for a giggle I'll post another pic. Me having to tighten brake line as she had a dribble when I was holding her back on a steep decline. No, I don't carry tools like this. Borrowed them from a Patrol driver....as you do.

For reference: this is what I mean by stock control arms limiting droop.

Thats it Hamsteh, it is a common misconception that they bottom out on the shock mount but they actually bottom out on the control arm bracket, ther is a few mm left before the shock bracket comes into contact as you can see in the pic.
The OME shocks should bottom out at around the same time that the arms do when all mounted normally.
As I mentioned before there is 230mm travel between the bumpstop cup and the bumpstop plate on the diff with stock arms so Bleep yours is flexing well, I am happy enough for you to drop by some time for a chin wag....

First Flex test with new tyres (ED Falcon Wheels), still much trimming to do on the inside of the guards.

How do your airbags go with the flex? I had to limit my rear travel to prevent over extension and therefore prevent tearing the bags....
