Default Replacement stock 255/75/17 tires

Hi guys - We are up for our first replacement set of tires on our 2010 JK CRD Auto. I have priced a set of Good Year Wrangler Silent Armour (OEM) and was shocked to find they retail at $465 each.

The tyre places are telling me that these tires are my only option but I think Cooper make a tyre in the A/T3 All-Terrain range.

Does anyone know what these generally retail for ?

It might also be time for a 2" lift and a set of 33's but my preference would be for stock tires so I dont have to worry about gear ratios etc.

you're better off going to a 33" tyre as the stock one is a 31.8" anyway

most 33" are about 32.6" in reality.

Copper definitely make that size in their AT range.

Thats where I am headed now ! But the problem I think I will have is that new JK's are on 245/75/17's and mine is a 2010 with 255/75/17's.

Just be careful with that as most tyres only have a lifespan of 6 years before the rubber starts degrading.

Do you know if there are issues with gear ratios etc running 33's on the Auto CRD ?

Petrol, maybe but CRD not likely.

Even on the Petrol it won't be too much of an issue due to the fact they are only about 3/4 of an inch bigger overall.
