Default Looking - Spare Tyre swing away Cover

My rear number plate assembly has broken its lug that allows it to swing up & down to access the nuts to release the spare tyre cover.
Thought I'd pick up the whole spare Tyre swing away cover from a wreckers.....wrong. local guys only sell it complete with the rear gate/door.

Found a guy on ebay in WA that was wrecking one but the freight cost is too silly from their...

At the moment my number plate can only sit inside the car safely without loosing it someway on the highway..

Appreciate any ideas or leads to replacement part/s..Thanks

Hi Greg,
Hope you and Jen had a good Christmas.
One option would be to do away with the plastic cover and make up a mount for the NP that fits onto the spare mounting studs. If I recall correctly, CPC and Fouro's have done this.

I am planning on getting rid of my sparecover and use a NP bracket within the next 2 or 3 weeks. Can sell it to you for peanuts if you want. Brisbane area.

Replied to your message.

I'm thinking of getting this from morris4x4 at $62+shipping

Or this one from Kaymar.

Prefer the one from Morris4x4, and should be cheaper too
