Default Menai closed by council.

This is on the 4wd Action facebook page....

IMMEDIATE TRACK CLOSURE: MENAI, NSW

We've obtained these exclusive photos of gates being put up today at Menai, in Sydney's south-west. A lot of debate has existed over who owns what land here, with parts bordering Heathcote Rd being owned by local land councils, and the areas to the back towards '80 Series Hill' being state-owned crown land, as much as we are able to determine. These photos show Sutherland Shire Council works erecting gates half-way into 80 Series Hill, which ironically locks 4WDers and dirt bike riders out of the actual track areas, leaving the 2WD-accessible rubbish dumping grounds still completely open. After years of successful club-based cleanup days, it looks like Menai's days of 4WDing are over. Share this post with anyone you know who has locked the hubs in there over the years.

was in there yesterday, its been gated/fenced in places before.
It only prevents the people that use the area with respect, but doesnt stop kents from dumping cars and rubbish, i was there 2 weeks ago also and the extra cars and rubish in 2weeks is crazy.

I just asked the guys on the P4x4 forum if anyone in the Sutherland Shire has seen anything in the local rag, the Leader, about this.
