Not that I've found out about, makes sense that the Americans don't like you doing anything that could be 'dangerous' and then become a litigation issue.....

Yep, it is a truly *ucked system Jeep use. The torque management in particular is atrocious in just how invasive it is. Doesn't matter what power the car is rated at....it determines how much and when you get any of it. And that alone makes it more dangerous than if they left everything alone in the first place. I am liking my WK2 less and less each day TBH and if I'm going to keep it then stuff the warranty and get a tune me thinks.

sounds to me like your mate is flooring it in low range and hitting 40kmh and the car kicking in , exactly the same as what i tried . never drive in anything other than just sand mode now and never had that issue pop up again

I definitely felt the car holding back, sense of it not going anywhere when I left it in Lo and flooring it for a good 25km on the softsand beach. You can even smell the burning in the cabin. I figured from this point Lo should rarely be used only to get out of a bogged situation.

My 2015 diesel has done it twice up at byfield national park. Both in high range sand mode and one of the times it went into neutral after it cut the power and came up with low oil pressure on the dash.

Sounds like a pretty ordinary 4x4 system? Sitting on the rev limiter going up a dand dune is how it gets done 🤬
