Installed Blackjack Welding rear recovery points, thanks to LeighP for selling them to me for a great price

The recovery points are more solid than they look being 20mm steel plates. Hardest part is accurately cutting through the surprisingly thick plastic they use on the body side of stock rear bumper.

Installing MOPAR front recovery hooks into stock plastic front bumper will be the next challenge, might get one of those reciprocating saws to make that process a bit easier.

Added a shovel to the AEV tire carrier. Accidentally bought two - first one was too small. Quickest $40 I've ever wasted haha.

And also added a smittybilt tow hitch. Just have to wire it up now. Hopefully I don't ruin anything haha.

Glad those worked out for you...they look nice and solid on there....better than the little tie down loop the factory give us.

Been laid up with a bad knee, so I've got little done on the JK.
Its finally working well enough to fit the new UHF. Its a Uniden UH8060NB - remote radio with all the controls and speaker in the mic head.
Works really nicely with the RFI antenna...very clear reception....tested OK with an obliging trucky on Ch40.

I tucked the radio box above the glove box , zip tying the mounting cradle to a couple of hand spots.......of course, I didn't count on the glove box unit not clearing when being rotated while refitting, so I had to clearance the rear surface a bit.

The mic/speaker extension cable let me mount the mic up on the console, just under the lid release...where the US JK's get a 115VAC inverter outlet. Seemed like a good place to fit it.

Hopefully, the knee will be up for fitting the new rear bumper next weekend.

Better to stick with solid rear disks, the slotted disks hold mud in the grooves and then wear out the centre of the pads, big warn out divots in the pads, it happened to me.
I'll give ya a tip, if you go through mud take the wheels off and clean the rotor slots.

Given the amount of stuff I've had to replace due to mud wear, it's the one thing that I'll be avoiding
